A 24-year-old Mohegan Lake woman is facing a misdemeanor charge of petty larceny after an incident at Walmart, according to police.
Troopers from the Cortlandt barracks made the arrest at about 9:25 p.m. Aug. 5, authorities said in a statement released Friday.
The store's asset protection dialed 911 and reported a shoplifter in custody. The woman "was observed concealing merchandise in her personal bag without making any effort to pay for the items," according to officials.
The defendant was released pending an Aug. 30 appearance in Cortlandt Justice Court.
