Pelham Manor Decides: Incumbents Hold On To Seats In Glitchy Election
Two Republican incumbents faced off against two Democrat challengers during the hard-fought campaign.

PELHAM MANOR, NY — After technical issues brought the counting of votes to a halt, the certified results are finally in.
Four candidates were seeking two two-year terms on the Village of Pelham Manor Board of Trustees.
Incumbent Republicans Breda Bennett and Maurice Owen-Michaane ran against Democratic challengers Kate Pringle and Mark Cardwell.

With 3695 total votes cast, Republican incumbents Breda Bennett (999 votes) and Maurice Owen-Michaane (973 votes) defeated Democratic challengers Kate Pringle (896) and Mark Cardwell (827).

"Thank you, Pelham Manor!" the running mates, Bennett and Owen-Michaane said in statement released shortly after the certified results were announced by the clerk on Wednesday evening. "We are humbled by your support and pledge to continue working for all residents during the next two years."
All five members of the village board, including four trustees and the mayor's gavel will remain in Republican hands.
