“Evidence of Tri-M’s purpose in Pelham is with our student members,” said Tri-M Advisor Dr. Michele Zanky. “These young musicians help other students with their music studies, and raise scholarship funds for music study. They perform at fundraisers focused on building homes for the needy and supporting museums. They perform for and boost the morale of the elderly and needy. It is a privilege and an honor to work with Pelham Memorial High School’s Tri-M students.”
At the induction ceremony, which was held in the PMHS Auditorium, Superintendent Dr. Peter Giarrizz praised the students and their musical talent. “Uniquely, as musicians you are practicing scientists, linguists, mathematicians, athletes, and artists that work to produce sounds and songs that have the ability to tap into the core of all human emotions,” Dr.Giarrizzo said. “Through your work, you access a vitally important component of the instructional program here at Pelham Memorial High School.”
