Five Plainview-Old Bethpage High School Students Named National Merit Scholarship Competition

Students placed among top 5 percent for PSAT score

Five Plainview-Old Bethpage School District’s John F. Kennedy High School students were recently recognized as Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Competition for scoring among the top-five percent of more than 1.5 million students who took the nationwide Preliminary Student Aptitude Test (PSAT). The students are five of approximately 15,000 students nationwide who have made it to the final round. The students have the opportunity to be considered for National Merit Scholarships worth a total of $33 million.

The following high school students have been named finalists for the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program: Tyler B. Fenton, Susan T. Huang, Jennifer Hwang, Evan S. Rinder and Roshni Sethi.
