John F. Kennedy High School Enterprise Achieves Recognition
Plainview Old-Bethpage students work for gold-level certification.

Plainview Old-Bethpage (POB) John F. Kennedy High School’s school store recently achieved gold-level certification for its commendable marketing and retail standards by DECA’s School-Based Enterprise Certification Program. Students Matthew Luftschein, Ryan Lessman, and Ethan Breit, alongside their advisors, worked to achieve the certification, which required documentation that demonstrates their professionalism and responsibility.
The enterprise at POB was among 285 schools to achieve this certification which commends students’ preparation for future careers. The enterprise has been successfully bringing goods and services to the students of JFK high school for over 10 years now, and it will be recognized at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Florida in April 2015.
