PLAINVIEW, NY — The Plainview-Old Bethpage Central School District has unveiled a new adaptive playground at the Stratford Road Elementary School.

The state-of-the-art space offers a variety of outdoor activities designed to accommodate students at all ability levels.

Stratford was selected as the playground's site as it's the district’s center for pupil personnel services and special education.

"We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated Board of Education and strong community support that allow us to provide for our students in ways that would not be possible otherwise. This playground is just one of many examples," said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mary O’Meara.

Funding was secured through the office of Assemblymember Steve Stern.
