Nassau Son Stabs Both Parents In Domestic Dispute: Police

Police say he faces assault and weapons charges.

OLD BETHPAGE, NY — An Old Bethpage man has been arrested after police said he stabbed his parents with a knife during a domestic dispute.

Myron Mycio, 24, of Barry Lane South was arrested around 12:20 p.m. Sunday following the stabbings of his 62-year-old father and 61-year-old mother, police said.

Police arrested Mycio in the home and his parents were treated at a hospital for injures not considered life-threatening.

Mycio faces charges of 2nd-degree assault and 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was scheduled to appear Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Prosecutors would be able to seek to hold Mycio on monetary bail for 2nd-degree assault under the old laws and the new.
