Plainview Crash: 1 Hurt After Jeep, Mercedes-Benz Collide

Officials say crews had to also clean fluid off the roadway.

SYOSSET, NY — One person was hurt in a crash in Plainview over the weekend, officials said. The two-vehicle crash involving a Jeep and Mercedes-Benz happened Sunday around 12:45 p.m. near South Oyster Bay and Woodbury roads.

The Hicksville and Syosset Fire Departments were sent to the scene. One person was hurt and had to be rushed to Nassau University Medical Center by Syosset Ambulance #5893. Crews from Hicksville Heavy Rescue #938 applied speedy dry to fluid spills on the roadway, officials said.

South Oyster Bay Road was closed in both directions for 20 minutes.
