Six POBJFK High School Student-Athletes Committed To College

PLAINVIEW, NY — Six Plainview-Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School student-athletes committed to their colleges.

These Class of 2026 students who signed on to play college-level sports are as follows:

  • Alex DeFranco, Lacrosse, Misericordia University
  • Connor Faello, Soccer, St. John’s University
  • Jake Ilardo, Lacrosse, Keiser University
  • Alex Kantrowitz, Lacrosse, Wesleyan University
  • Brett LaGallo, Baseball, LeMoyne College
  • Brooke Selmer, Soccer, SUNY-Oswego

Family, coaches, and administrators joined the student-athletes during the signing ceremony.

POB Athletic Director Joseph Braico said he wishes these Hawks the best of luck in their future.

“Earning the chance to play college sports is a major accomplishment for any student-athlete,” he said. “It requires tremendous commitment and talent."
