Campaign 2013 in Port Chester: 'Lower My Taxes'
Incumbent mayor says taxes are a top issue local residents are talking about as he campaigns for re-election.
In his bid for re-election, Port Chester Mayor Dennis Pilla says that taxes are the top issue that he is hearing local residents talk about.
Pilla, a Democrat, is being challenged by Republican Neil Pagano in the March 19 village election. Advance voting in the election begins today.
In his campaigning throughout the village, Pilla said the most common comment he's hearing from residents is a call for lower property taxes. Additionally, Pilla said residents are also eager for Port Chester to limit the increase of rental housing in the village.
