Furthur Members Join Bands At the Copa

The Capitol Theatre's Furthur shows have been letting out around midnight, but the party continues well into the early morning at the Copacabana down the street.  The Cap to the Copa after-party concerts have been a hit with fans, who have been thrilled to be treated to a little extra Furthur most nights.

Still going strong after their four hour shows, Bob Weir, Sunshine Becker and John Kadlecik have all gone over to join the musicians at Copa.

Weir and Kadlecik sat in with Perry Winston on April 18 for Jay Lane and Friends. Kadlecik has joined the show several times. On Saturday night, Becker and guitar wizard Paul Pesco (of Steve Winwood, Chaka Kahn, Hall and Oats) joined Reflections and Jay's Happy Sunshine Burger Joint. 

With three more nights to go, you never know who is going to show up, say the concert's organizers. 

The Demolition String Band and Alphabet Soup play Tuesday; the Mooncussers play Wednesday and Thursday will close the series with an "All Star Jam."
