Joan Grangenois-Thomas joins Mondaire Jones;Liz Johnson joins JGT

JGT Public Relations is proud to announce that our principal, community activist Joan Grangenois-Thomas, has accepted the position of district director for Rep. Mondaire Jones (D) of the 17th congressional district of New York. Joan also serves on the board of trustees of the Village of Port Chester, where she was elected as an independent candidate in 2019, and as the volunteer leader of the grassroots group, Sustainable Port Chester Alliance.

In a statement, Rep. Jones said, “Joan brings her strong record of community activism, passion for racial and economic justice, and love of public service to deliver real change for the great people of Westchester and Rockland.” She will lead a team of five, several of whom formerly worked for Rep. Nita Lowey, who held the seat prior to Jones.

Joan’s new position means that she will be stepping back from the daily business of JGT PR and Liz Johnson will join as managing director. With 20+ years of experience in digital media marketing and advertising, Liz has spearheaded digital revenue growth at some of the most prominent news organizations in the country, including Tribune Media, Knight Ridder and GateHouse Media.

She thrives in collaborative environments, relishes relationship building and is passionate about helping clients achieve their objectives.
