Kidz Bop Kids; Robert Randolph; La Panatiere Celebrates 28 Years

Miriam’s Attic Grand reopening Tuesday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Osborn has just finished renovating Miriam’s Attic to better handle inventory and serve its customers and on Tuesday, Aug. 6 they will have an official Grand Reopening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

They have renovated an area in the back room to provide more storage space, moved a few pieces around and spruced things up in the process, Fund Development Coordinator Susan Olson said. Check it out on Tuesday.

Forever Families Through Adoption

FFTA is hosting a free information session on “Everything You Need to Know About Adoption” on Aug. 5 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Port Chester – Rye Brook Public Library. From FFTA: This free event is open to anyone interested in or involved with the adoption process, including professionals, community members, expectant parents, adoptive or prospective adoptive parents, and adoptees. Come learn about the domestic and international adoption process and meet the staff of Forever Families Through Adoption. FFTA is authorized in NY and CT.

Shakespeare in The Park

Port Chester Council for the Arts presents LawnChair Theater, a Shakespeare production in the park, this weekend with a Mad Men-inspired performance of “The Taming of the Shrew.” They will perform in Lyon Park Aug. 8 and 9 and Pine Ridge Park in Rye Brook Aug. 10. Rain date for Rye Town Park and Pine Ridge Park is August 11.

La Panetiere Celebrates 28 Years

Jacques Loupiac's La Panetière in Rye is planning to serve a prix-fixe dinner with optional wine pairing from August 6 through August 17, 2013 in honor of the French restaurant's 28th anniversary. The regular menu will also be available.

Fireworks at Playland

There is a free fireworks show at Rye Playland every Wednesday and Friday at 9:15 this month. Parking fees apply. Details here.

 Concert at Rye Town Park

There is no Tuesday concert at RTP this week.  On Aug. 13 The Angelo Rubino Band – with Ang as lead singer and sax player, band performs a wide range of musical styles from the 1940’s to the 90’s – everything from big band dance tunes, soft rock, and Doo-wop, to Latin pop.

Wednesday Night Concerts on Adee Street

Dancing under the stars takes place on Wednesday night on Adee Street in Port Chester from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

Concert at Lyon Park

Angie Rubino and the Band will play a free concert at Lyon Park on Aug. 9 from 8 to 9:30 p.m. (time changed from 7 p.m. start time). More information here
