Famous folk/rock singer and guitarist Neil Young will play the Capitol Theatre with his band Crazy Horse and Patti Smith this September, the theater announced yesterday. The show will come about one year after the reincarnated theater opened with a Bob Dylan performance last September.
Young, 67, is touring Europe most of the summer but heading back to North America in late August to play at The Cap before heading to the Interlocken Music Festival in Arlington, Va.
The Capitol Theatre’s official anniversary weekend will feature Willie Nelson & Family on Sept. 18 and 19.
