NFL Player; Street Racing Cars and Sneakers at the Connect Show
We asked the two local entrepreneurs producing The Connect Show what it is all about.

This Sunday St. Peter’s Church in Port Chester will host a party like this village has never seen. Chicago Bear Nate Collins will be there, along with local hip-hop artists, rare street racing cars and lots of sneakers.
The event is The Connect Show, produced by the two young owners of Native Goods, Jormar Costillo, 24, and Luis Mendoza, 20 – both proud Port Chester natives. They answered a few questions about what the event is and how it came about. Read their answers below.

We are doing this to send a positive message to the youth, that you can do anything you want, doesn't matter your age or gender, the second part is to raise funds to built a skate park in our hometown, Port Chester.
How did you come up with this idea?

We got the idea from our customers and from the lack of cultural movements outside of NYC area. Sneaker collecting is slowly becoming a global phenomenon as well as an obsessive-compulsive lifestyle, and we would like to be part of that tradition amongst the Sneaker Heads. By mixing Art, Music, Street Racing Cars and Sports primarily skateboarding it makes it a one of a kind show to attend.
Who is throwing the event?
The good people of Native Goods are funding and doing this Event. We have teamed up with Red Bull as well they were willing to help out once they heard about the cause and what we were trying to do in our community as well as local business that sponsored us.
What can people expect from the event while they are there?
People can expect live performances from Hip hop artist like Westchester Native Styles P, Bronx Native Fred The Godson, and possible others, we are still working on it. They will also get to meet Port Chester Native and Chicago Bear DT Nate Collins, with his very popular brand Young whales. We will have live skateboarding demos, art demos, and a Sneaker Exchange where everyone will have the ability to Buy, Sell and Trade against each other. Also we are happy to announce that we will incorporate a streetcar racing company called Showtime Auto. They will come and bring very rare and luxurious cars from the street racing scene.
Why did you decide to hold it at St. Peter’s Church?
We went with St. Peters Church because we felt we had to have an impact in our town first and what better way to do it then going with St. Peter their known for always hosting parties and it just fit perfectly with what we are trying to do, as far as size and capacity.
Without Father Hilario Albert from St. Peters Church none of this could be possible; if it wasn't for him believing in us and helping us push this event it wouldn’t happen. He decided to take a chance with us and is very proud of what we are doing. He considers us as kids that want to give back to our community and help out the youth. His charitable work has influenced us in doing this type of event.
