Obituary: Dorothy S. Virtuoso, Formerly of Port Chester.

Dorothy S. Virtuoso, loving and devoted mother and wife, died Friday, April 12, 2013, in Danbury (CT) Hospital. She was 75.

Mrs. Virtuoso was born April 5, 1938, in Port Chester, daughter of the late Philip and Antoinette (Tuozzolo) Scappatura. Formerly of Port Chester, she moved with her husband and daughter to Southbury, CT, in 1992. She worked tirelessly, both inside and outside the home, spending the last 15 years as an Administrative Assistant at AIC in Danbury, CT.

She was a faithful communicant of Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed attending mass, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years, Peter Virtuoso, along with four daughters: Lisa Prill and her husband, Michael; Barbara Virtuoso and her husband, Philippe Chollet; Christine Vincent and Cynthia Virtuoso; one brother, Philip Scappatura; four granddaughters, and two step-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 16 at 12 p.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury. Calling hours are Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon in the daily chapel of the church.
