Police: Port Chester Man Gets Trip to Jail for Dumping Trash on Woman's Car
He's accused of violating court-issued order of protection.

A 45-year-old Port Chester man was ordered held in the Westchester County Jail for violating a court-issued order of protection after he was arrested in connection with trash that was dumped on his ex-girlfriend's car, according to Port Chester Police.
Joseph Washington of 45 Townsend St. was charged with criminal contempt and criminal mischief after a 7:43 p.m. incident Wednesday on Purdy Avenue, police said. A woman who said Washington is her ex-boyfriend said she saw him throw a bottle at the door of her car and them dumped garbage on the hood of her car.
The woman told police that she was concerned about possible damage to her car because someone had let the air out of her tires, so she intentionally parked the vehicle under a street light so she could keep an eye on it during the night.
