Police: Port Chester Man Sent Ex-Girlfriend Death Threats Via Text Messages

A Port Chester man has been charged with aggravated harassment in connection with threats made to his ex-girlfriend, including death threats sent via text messages, according to Port Chester Police.
Maurico Portillo, 24, of 46 Poningo St., Port Chester, was arrested after a 4:40 a.m. incident on Thursday at the home of a 29-year-old Port Chester woman. Police said Portillo is accused of banging on the door of the woman's home and verbally threatening to kill her.
Police said an investigation also found that the woman has received text messages from Portillo in which he threatened to kill her.
