Port Chester Man Accused of Hitting his Wife
38-year-old charged with attempted assault.

A Port Chester man was arrested Sunday night after he was accused of hitting his wife in the mouth, according to Port Chester police.
Javier Mamani, 38, of 52 Poningo St., was charged with third-degree attempted assualt after an 11 p.m. incident at his home, police said.
Police went to Poningo Street after receiving a complaint about a domestic dispute and found a woman who was bleeding and had a swollen lit. Police said the woman said her husband, Mamani, had hit her.

Mamani was arriagned and bail was set at $500. He faces a Port Chester Village Court hearing on Sept. 27.
