Port Chester Man Accused of Making Death Threats Against Family Members

Police: No one injured in Traverse Avenue incident.

A Port Chester man is accused of making death threats against four family members in an incident at their apartment on Traverse Avenue early Monday, according to Port Chester Police.

Hugo Cepeda, 41, of 45 Traverse Ave., was arrested after members of his family went for help and notified police, who were already at the building becuase of a fire alarm call at the building.

Police said an investigation found that Cepeda had an agrument with a member of the family as they arrived home at about 12:55 a.m. Monday. Police said that inside the family apartment, Cepeda is accused of to kill family members.

Police said that Cepeda was intoxicated during the incident and he was found asleep in his apartment. No one was injured. Police said the family members included a 37-year-old woman, a 15-year-old boy, a 10 year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.

Cepeda was charged with second-degree menacing. He faces a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
