Port Chester Police Investigating Rape Charge on Poningo Street
Man living with Port Chester family charged with first-degree rape.

Port Chester police are investigating an incident at a Poningo Street home, where a man living with friends has been accused of rape.
A 31-year-old man has been charged with first-degree rape in connection with an incident at about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He is being held in the Westchester County Jail in Valhalla without bail pending a hearing in Port Chester Village Court.
Police said the man, who is not identified because of the ongoing investigation, is accused of attacking a 25-year-old woman as she came out of the bathroom of the apartment where they were both living. Police said the man contends that he and the woman had consensual sex.
