Undercover Cops Arrest 3 Men on Drug Charges in Port Chester

Police officers working on Bush Avenue, Broad Street watching for drug transactions.

Port Chester police officers working in plain clothes assigned to target street drug transactions arrested three men on drug-related charges on Tuesday, according to Port Chester Police.

In a 7:55 p.m. incident on Broad Street, police working in the area of The Capitol Theatre said they were approached by a Crandford, RI, man who asked them if they were interested in some "pineapple weed." After the police officers identified themselves, the man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

Earlier in the afternoon, undercover officers working on Bush Avenue spotted a drug transaction at about 4:30 p.m. and stopped both of the men involved. Police said Barry Epps, 42, of 51 Grenada Crescent, White Plains, was charged with fifth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, a misdemeanor, and 51-year-old Port Chester man was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
