After 2 Years, Billy Joel Exhibit To Close This Fall At Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame

STONY BROOK, NY — The Billy Joel record-setting exhibit is "Movin' Out" of the Long Island Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame (LIMEHOF).

After nearly two years, "Billy Joel: My Life, A Piano Man's Journey" will close on Oct. 26.

“We have been honored to have been the home of the exclusive authorized exhibition for the first-ever Billy Joel exhibit, curated by LIMEHOF’s own Kevin O’Callaghan,” said LIMEHOF Chairman Ernie Canadeo. “The response has been overwhelming, and we hope to continue to feature several items from his archives in the future.”

Since the exhibit opened in 2023, tens of thousands of visitors from across the country have explored Joel's career. It has also been featured in hundreds of news stories.

The exhibit was put together by world-renowned designer Kevin O’Callaghan. It tells the story of Joel’s life and features some of his most cherished items from the past 50 years.

Items included rare memorabilia, behind-the-scenes video footage, dozens of awards, rare audio and video recordings, vintage instruments and historic photos — many of which were donated by Joel himself.

Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance as it is anticipated that many days will sell out. You can secure tickets online.

New exhibits will be announced soon and are set to open Thanksgiving weekend.

Joel participated in a two-part documentary that premiered last month on HBO.
