Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Port Jeff Station Crash
A 26-year-old man was seriously injured in the crash Wednesday morning, police say.

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY – A 26-year-old man was seriously injured when his bicycle collided with an SUV at a busy intersection in Port Jefferson Station Wednesday morning, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, Juan Bonilla was riding a bike southbound on Route 112 when he attempted to cross the intersection at Route 347 and was struck by a westbound 2009 Nissan Rogue at approximately 7:30 a.m.
Bonilla, of Port Jefferson Station, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The driver of the Nissan, a 33-year-old Sound Beach woman, was not injured.
