- A cannabis inspection was conducted at a business on Port Jefferson Main Street. Suffolk police and town officials inspected the Organically Connected on Wednesday on OCM regulations to look into the sale of cannabis and other products that are not allowed to be sold in New York. (TBR News Media)
- Port Jefferson Patch would like to congratulate Port Jefferson Middle School student Kieran Browne for being a great speller! The sixth grader is the school's spelling bee champion! Kieran made it to the top when he spelled “misericords” correctly. His next step is competing against other students from different schools. (Port Jefferson Patch)

- Family and friends remember Michael Joseph Berendowski, 33, of Mount Sinai, who tragically lost his life the day before New Year's Eve. His loved ones described him as a kind and generous person.
