Chain-Reaction Crash In Coram Claims Woman's Life: Police
She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, Suffolk police say.
CORAM, NY — Detectives are investigating a chain-reaction crash in Coram that claimed the life of a woman on Saturday night, Suffolk police said.
The woman was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on Route 112, when the vehicle was struck by a westbound Jeep Wrangler at the intersection with County Road 83, police said, adding that the Chevrolet then struck a Toyota Highlander and a Toyota Tacoma.
The woman, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.

The Jeep's driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to police.
All four vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.
