Free Parking In Port Jeff Village Extended

The Village of Port Jefferson announced on Monday it has extended free parking for 30 days.

Metered parking will resume on April 15, according to the village, and will be enforced from noon to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday including holidays.

Metered parking will be enforced until Dec. 8, officials said.

Parking will cost 50 cents per hour Monday through Thursday and $1 per hour Friday through Sunday.

Each parking space is identified by a number and parkers can pay at a pay station, which accepts coins, parking tokens, credit cards, smart cards and some accept cash.
