  1. Village Of Port Jefferson: This Saturday, Oct. 23, at 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. the village of Port Jefferson will welcome the Harvest Festival. The event is very promising as it's one of the first since last year. Adults will have a brewing taste while kids will have games, crafts and delicious food around. Another special will be the dog costume parade, where we will see our fur friends showing off their creative and cute outfits.   2. LI Restaurant Features Champion Chef: Fans of the reality TV cooking competition "Chopped" may want to check out a popular Long Island restaurant. The eatery, 317 Main St, is owned by "Chopped" champion, Chef Eric LeVine. The restaurant, named after its address at 317 Main St. in Farmingdale, is a gastropub and American Grill. The menu features a variety of burgers, including a "Crispy Chicken" burger and "Cuban Style" burger, along with a "burger of the week," a new weekly creation by LeVine and his team.   3. Port Jefferson Students Virtually Welcome Holocaust Survivor: Earl L. Vandermeulen High School welcomed Holocaust survivor Ruth Elenberg Eisenberg to speak about her experiences as a child when Nazis occupied her hometown in Eastern Galicia (now Ukraine). Social studies teacher Bryan Vaccaro's class virtually met Elenberg Eisenberg — a volunteer at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum — as she spoke of her personal history of hardship and fortitude, including a daring escape from her family's home and her father's subsequent death in a labor camp.
