- Fourth Grade music students Seyanna Cerar, Reese Fallon and Sophie Franck from Port Jefferson's Edna Louise Spear Elementary School attended the Suffolk County Music Educators' Association PEAK Festival. The PEAK Festival (Parents, Educators and Kids) is a unique celebration of elementary classroom music where students from across Suffolk County perform alongside their parents and music teachers. - Homeowners are cleaning up the devastation from a destructive weekend storm that four tornados hit Long Island in a single day. This is the first time in Long Island's history that four tornados were recorded in one day and the first time any tornado has hit Long Island in the month of November. (News12)
- Paint on a chocolate canvas is a new trend in Long Island but, If you don’t have the patience to paint with a brush, take a shortcut and dip your chocolate at Kilwins Chocolate shop in Port Jefferson. You’ll enter the shop’s kitchen and dip Twinkies, marshmallows, pretzels, cookies or Krispie Rice treats in machines filled with white, dark or milk chocolate. Decorate them with candies in the store, and chow down. (Newsday)
- Seniors across Long Island are frustrated with some increased Medicare costs coming in January 2022. The increase in Medicare part B premiums is causing concerns for some at the Huntington Senior Center. Medicare officials said a large portion of the increase is because of the insurance program might have to cover the cost of a new Alzheimer's medication. (News12)
