Inflation

I’m sure you have noticed that prices have gone up significantly. I remember the days where gas was $1.50 maybe $2.00 tops, when movies were $5.00, when meat, chicken, and fish didn’t cost you more than a few dollars a pound.

U.S. consumer inflation is up 6.8% from 2020 — the highest it's been in nearly 40 years. That has left restaurant owners & businesses no choice but to raise their prices.

Due to the pandemic, there is also staffing issues at hospitals, retailers, restaurants and other business. People are getting affected by the pandemic left and right.

There’s also an increase of milk, eggs, bread, laundry detergent, butter, cream cheese. Many shelves in stores are bare. It’s not the stores fault that shipping has decreased.

Businesses are struggling financially. They need federal government funding. Sales in many stores have decreased dramatically. Employees are worried about losing there jobs.

Hopefully this inflation won’t last a long time. It has affected millions, and will continue to place hardships on many people.
