Intermittent Road Closures Planned For Port Jefferson Area Over Weekend

Suffolk police advised drivers to take alternate routes.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — The Suffolk County Police Department on Friday warned of road closures for the annual Charles Dickens Festival in Port Jefferson this weekend.

Due to an anticipated influx of crowds and pedestrian traffic, as well as two parades during the event, Main Street will be closed intermittently on Saturday and Sunday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

They advised drivers to use alternate routes.
