  1. Attention parents in Port Jeff, registrations for the 2023-24 kindergarten classes and programs will open on Feb. 1. Visit www.portjeffschools.org for more information and to access registration packets. (Press Release Desk)
  2. The Antiques & Garden Weekend 2023 returns to Port Jefferson in April! The event will be held at the Village Center on April 29-30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days! Tickets are $6 per person. (LI Events)
  3. Two police officers saved an infant who choked on candy in Coram. The incident happened on Jefferson Court at 2:35 p.m. The baby was not breathing when the police arrived. After back blows were administered, first responders could take the candy out of the child's mouth. Coram Fire Department took the infant to St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson.   4. The Port Jefferson's ice festival kicks off on Jan. 28-29! The Business Improvement District hosts the event. Sculptures will be displayed in front of businesses in the Village. Attractions like live music, carriage rides, corn hole, and other games will be a plus. (Port Jefferson Patch)
