- Suffolk police are searching for a man who exposed himself inside Barnes & Noble of the Smith Haven Mall. The suspect committed the lewd act in front of a woman who contacted the police. If anyone has any information that may help to identify him, please call 1-800-220-TIPS. (Newsday/Subscription Required)
- Lauren Pazienza of Port Jefferson will have a mental evaluation on Feb. 12. Pazienza is accused of shoving a voice instructor, causing her to hit her head, which caused her to die from her injuries after some days. The results of her mental evaluation will help the defense to negotiate plea bargains. (Newsday/Subscription Required)

- Notable Port Jefferson resident, Howard Otto Wunderlich Jr., passed away early this month.
