Long Island Ice Festival Set For This Weekend

There will reportedly be 6-foot-tall ice sculptures of Barbie and Spider-man, as well as horse and carriage rides, and free hot chocolate.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — The 5th annual Port Jefferson Ice Festival kicks off this weekend.

The event will run from noon to 5 p.m.

It will include ice carving demonstrations with Guinness World Records holder, Richard Daly, who reportedly will be working on six-foot-tall sculptures of Barbie and Spider-man, Newsday reported. There will also be horse and carriage rides and interactive games.

There will be free hot chocolate at the Port Jefferson Lobster House, Roasted Marshmallows from Port Jefferson Frigate, and Frozen Daiquiris from Daiquiri Daddy Long Island.

The rain date for the event is next Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.
