Man Meets His Maker (of Funerals) in Port Jeff Station
After receiving advertisements for funerals in the mail, one man went to confront the persons responsible to ask a few questions.

In a tongue-in-cheek article in the Stamford Advocate, a writer felt he just needed to find out why he was on the mailing list of a Port Jefferson Station funeral home.
Jerry Zezima worried that the marketers for had been talking to his doctors and they had been hiding something from him when he suddenly found himself on the receiving end of some nice brochures advertising the company's funerals.
He spoke with co-owner Peter Moloney. Zezima says Moloney's grandfather James Moloney founded the funeral home business back in 1935.

"Have you been talking with my doctor?" he asked. "If so, I want a second opinion."
"No," Moleny said. "But we do market research. You must be on our mailing list because you're over 50."

"Baby boomers are living longer these days," Zezima said then added that he was 58-years old. "You may have to wait a long time to get business from me."
The discussion turned to the history of the business and Zezima's plans to put off for as long as possible Moloney's services.
