  1. Ethan Ladd was sentenced to eight years in prison for shooting two men in Downtown Port Jefferson. Ladd pleaded guilty to the incident in 2021. According to reports, a fight between Ladd and two other men started at Tommy Place on Main Street and was carried on to a nearby parking lot where the shots were fired. (Port Jefferson Patch)
  2. Port Jeff Fire Department and EMS gathered for emergency and rescue training at Harborfront Park. First responders from both departments created a situation in which a person fell over the edge of a 40-foot wall and had to be helped by a lowering rescuer on Broadway Avenue. (TBR News Media)
