  1. Some say happiness is cooking together. Chef Naela will be at Port Jefferson Village center to demonstrate and share Mediterranean food recipes on Thursday, Jan. 12. Tasting time will follow. The event begins at 5 p.m. All are welcome. (All Events)
  2. Town of Brookhaven Parks & Recreation department heads into 2023 with winter classes in various locations. There will be dance and exercise events for all ages. If interested, you can visit the link I've shared to check the dates and locations. (TBR News Media)
  3. Winter is the time of the year to help families in need to keep warm. Some Suffolk libraries are accepting donations of mittens, hats, scarves, and socks. Port Jefferson Station Comsewogue Library will accept donations through Jan. 31. To support this cause, drop items off in the Main Lobby. (CPLB)
  4. For the fans of the 'Beetlejuice' movie, a unique event offers a movie experience before the screening of the 1988 classic! There will be signature drinks such as snake sauce, a green apple flavored drink, and the famous "Beetlejuice." Photo props, a costume contest, and other fun activities will be a plus.
