PHOTO: Leaving a Light on in Port Jefferson Station

Driving in Port Jefferson Station we spotted this bear carving on the side of the road in front of a home on Jefferson Avenue. This bear seems to be leaving a light on for his owners to find their way home at night (or he's waiting for an important letter from the mailman.)

This isn't the first time we ran into a wood carver in the area. Port Jefferson art teacher Richard Anderson was in Port Jefferson village demonstrating the technique a couple of years ago.
