PHOTOS: Beautifying the Port Jefferson Station Area

Steve Crowley Memorial Park on Old Town Road in Port Jefferson Station was recently the site of a volunteer beautification project suggested by a sixth grader at JFK Middle School.

The student, Jordan Drago, received support from her parents and teacher Mrs. Foster, along with other kids and community members like Craig Den Hartog, who conceived the Old Town Blooms project. 

Fellow students in Mrs. Foster's class dug and planted garden beds, trimmed hedges and removed debris at the park.
