The shows, ranging from history to photography of local artists, are open to the public with free admission. Currently "Gears, Goggles and Grit" is on display until the end the month so, if you want to learn about early auto racing in Port Jeff and beyond, the Village Center awaits your visit! - Port Jefferson Health Classes Tackle Serious Topics For High School Students: Students at Earl L. Vandermeulen High School have been welcoming special guests this month in Michael Maletta’s health classes to cover real-life issues, while taking notes on preventative measures for bad situations. On Monday, Oct. 18, April Manis, an educator with the Long Island Coalition Against Domestic Violence, presented a lesson that’s timely and serious for young people — what is and isn’t normal in a relationship. - Nearby News: Suspect sought in Smithtown business burglary. Police have released pictures of a man wanted for burglarizing a Smithtown business. According to police, the man used a cement block to break the glass front door of a soccer academy on Jericho Turnpike last month. Police said he stole merchandise and a register containing cash before taking off. Anyone who knows the man’s whereabouts is asked to call police. (News 12 Bronx)
