- Community Raising Money For Port Jeff Family Following Tragic Accident: Sisters Alyssa and Jenna Batista were involved in a car accident on Oct. 17; Alyssa passed away in the crash, while Jenna remains in critical condition in the hospital after suffering multiple injuries. A GoFundMe page has been set up in memory of Alyssa and to provide support to Jenna on her road to recovery. (Greater Long Island)
- Nearby News: Car Crash Brings Down Pole, Closes Part Of Route 112 In Coram: At least two cars collided on Route 112 causing one to turn over on its side at about 10:25 a.m., according to police.
