- Congratulations to all Port Jefferson students selected to perform at the Long Island String Festival. Kids in grades 5-8 brought their talents to Northport High School on Jan. 22. Visit the link to see a picture of our district's musicians. (Press Release Desk)
- Stony Brook University is hosting two days of Lunar New Year Celebrations. There will be Asian food and Lion Dance presentations at the Charles B. Wang Center. - Maggie's Eatery and Take Away is now open at Route 25A, serving a variety of appetizers, salads and sandwiches. For those who want to order special snacks for Super Bowl weekend or are just curious about the new restaurant in the neighborhood, Maggie's is open Wednesday-Thursday from 12 to 8 p.m. and Friday-Sunday from 12 to 9 p.m. (Greater Long Island)
- A 28-year-old man was taken to Stony Brook Hospital in serious condition after being hit by two vehicles on Sunday. The incident happened on Middle Country Road. The pedestrian was standing when two cars had a chain reaction crash and struck him. Coram Fire Department was the first responder at the scene. (Port Jefferson Patch)
