3. Bruce G. Miller was not re-elected in his bid in the Port Jefferson Trustee election on Tuesday. Miller was pursuing his fifth term and was overcome by incumbent Rebecca Kassay, who earned 583 votes. (Newsday)
4. A woman is being sought by police for stealing items from the Stop & Shop Supermarket on Pond Path in Setauket. Security cameras show the suspect leaving the store with the unpaid items.
