  1. The Port Jefferson Toast Coffeehouse has relocated to its new location in Port Jefferson Station. Owners Terry and Jen Scarlatos are planning a nighttime experience at the newly vacant spot in the Village! The couple's new business is expected to open in six weeks and, according to the Scarlatos, it promises to be a date spot. Let's stay tuned. (TBR News Media)
  2. Attention actors/actresses in the Port Jefferson community, the Charles Dickens Festival is casting! All ages are welcome to join one of the most significant costume events in New York hosted at our Village. Costumes will be provided. The rehearsal for new participants will be held on Sept. 1 at the Village Center. For details, access here. (Patch)
  3. Stony Brook University requests the community's help to donate to its food pantry. A community service day is being hosted this weekend. Donations will benefit the Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank and the University's pantry. A virtual food drive is also available for those who want to donate but can't attend in-person events.   4. PlayHooray Babies will be hosted at the Port Jefferson Free Library on Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. Bring the little ones to dance out while listening to nursery rhymes, reading books, and more! Music is a perfect way to stimulate the kiddo's imagination and encourage socialization. (PJFL)
