- Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce hosts the second annual Daffodil Dash. The event features a virtual 5k and 10k, starting now until the end of April. In-person, racers will meet at the train car park on April 23 at 9 a.m. All proceeds will be donated to the Old Town Blooms and the Chamber Flag Fund. Register at events.elitefeats.com/22daffodil. - Bring the junk to the Port Jefferson Free Library on April 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Medicines, electronics, house appliances, and shredded paper will be collected and recycled correctly. (Port Jeff CofC)
- Singer Jonathan Preddice Miles will bring his talents to the Port Jefferson Village Center on April 22 at 7 p.m. as part of the WinterTide Concert Series. Seating is limited, and a donation of $5 will be asked at the door. (GPJAC)
- A senior citizen died after suffering a medical emergency while driving in the parking lot of King Kullen on Sunrise Highway. The 77-year-old man crashed into a signpost in the shopping center area located in Patchogue. He was pronounced dead after arriving at the Long Island Community Hospital. (Patch)
