  1. Culper Spy Day in the Port Jefferson Village will be celebrated at the Drowned Meadow Cottage Museum. The event is free and features artwork, an exhibit, library readings, and more starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10. (Port Jefferson Village Center)
  2. Port Jefferson Free Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, due to Labor Day. The following weekend after the Labor Day weekend, the library will reopen on Sundays during its regular weekend hours. (Port Jefferson Free Library)
  3. Port Jefferson Yacht Club features the Village Cup Regatta. The event benefits the Lustgarten Foundation, which researches pancreatic cancer. All are welcome to participate on Saturday, Sept. 10, which will be running all day! (Port Jefferson Village Center)
  4. A mom and daughter from Long Island face fraudulent credit card charges. Geist, 61, and her daughter Alyssa Geist, 33, are accused of spending over $850,000 on different credit cards between 2008 and 2021.
