- Port Jefferson Golf Outing '22 kicks off on Thursday. The shotgun start is at 1 p.m. The event is open for all residents and businesses for $50 per person. (Port Jeff Village Center)
- This month, Long Islanders are walking to prevent Alzheimer's disease. Around 1,500 gathered at Belmont Lake State Park to raise money to support the research of the disease, a brain disorder that affects memory and thinking ability. - Port Jefferson Middle School students are studying speed and acceleration, trying to find ways to measure it. The kids and their teachers collected data on a golf ball rolling at a constant speed at the school laboratory to proceed with acceleration science experiments. (Port Jefferson School District)
