One of the places to celebrate at is the Danford's in Port Jefferson. The hotel is holding its own festive dinner to ring in the new year, a four-course $75 per person event in its Wave restaurant that will also feature a live jazz duo. (Newsday)
  2. The Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency closed on a plan to build a complex in the village of Port Jefferson. The plan includes $15 million to demolish the PJ Lobster House restaurant and a former florist shop, both on Main Street and North Country Road, to build the three-story residential and commercial complex.
