1. The Village will celebrate the American spirit with the Annual Independence Day Parade on July 4! The patriotic event will be sponsored by the Port Jefferson Fire Department and will start at 10 a.m. (Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce)
2. Village of Port Jefferson released the trustee 2022 election results: Rebecca Kassay, 583; Lauren Sheprow, 484; Bruce Miller, 365; Gerard Gang, 336 and Ana Hozyainova, 241. (Port Jefferson Village)
3. Put sunscreen on to enjoy the summer in the village! Port Jefferson Village beaches will reopen for the season on Saturday, June 25. (Google Calendar)
4. Setauket resident Alec Micklos was reported missing on June 20. According to the police, he went out to walk his dog on Old Field Road at 6:30 p.m. The dog went back home without Micklos. Anyone with information can call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8643 or 911. (TBR News Media)
5. American Airlines announced the cancellation of flight services to MacArthur Airport. The company released a note on Monday saying the decision was made due to the pilot shortage the airline has been facing. (Patch)
