  1. Trevon Phidd from Connecticut was charged with two acts of terrorism for threatening the Bridgeport and Port Jefferson Ferry with a bomb on Wednesday. According to official reports, the call was made around noon, saying a bomb was going off on the boat, which resulted in the evacuation of the passengers. (Patch)
  2. Port Jefferson's annual Golf Outing will have new faces this year. The event is now open to residents, first responders, and business workers. The event starts at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22. Tickets are $ per person and include barbecue, cart, gift bag, and more. (Port Jefferson Village)
  3. Long Island Dragon Boat Racing Festival is happening on Saturday in Port Jefferson. The race will run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., featuring 24 teams in a 250-meter, three-lane course competition.
